Today I went to the Morgan Library Museum. I meant to go to the FIT Museum’s new CFDA exhibit, but I took too long to get ready and then had to get Pinkberry (new salted caramel!), and didn’t make it in time. Next weekend, I promise.

It was my first Time at the Morgan Library Museum, and I really enjoyed it. The library was spectacularly decorated with red silk walls and high ceilings. I so desperately wanted to curl up on the plush couches with a book and never leave.

The museum is most famous for housing the Gutenberg Bible: the first bible to be printed using a printing press. It contains hundreds of other antique books, manuscripts and letters from all throughout history. Below are pictures I snapped when the security guard wasn’t looking of gorgeous book covers.

Also, I found these earrings that date back to the 12th century or something like that… (didn’t have time to check, security guard was glaring!)

Can’t wait for Diane von Furstenberg tomorrow! I’ll be blogging about streetstyle in addition to the show itself!
